- I have a 6 month old Green Cheek Conure her name is Abby. I also have a cat named Chloe'.
Hi my name is Candi i am new here. I just brought my new 6 month old Green Cheek Conure home today. My husband knew that i have a love for birds and all animals so for valentines day and my birthday coming in March he bought me a Green Cheek Conure.
I know it will take time for Abby to allow me to touch her and hold her and i have all the time in the world due to the fact that i can not work because i just had neck surgery on the 29th of December of 2010. My childern are my world and my pets keep me upbeat during the day while the kids are at school.
To me all animals are not just pets but are family memebers.
If anyone has any suggestions on how i can help my new family member become closer to our whole family i am open to all suggestions.
