"Hide" seeds pellets among stones for amusement and exercise?

Liang Zai is perched on my left index fingeremoving some calluses on my hand.

He wipes his beak on his wood perch as though trying to sharpen it.

Should I place clean stones in a tray and sprinkle seeds and food under the stones?
Now he is picking Sheeler's hair.
