African Grey Congo: Lozi
Hello all!

So my 13 year old boy, Lozi has been really hormonal lately and throwing up whenever he is near me like there is no tomorrow. I realize this is a good thing and a sign of love and affection. My grandmother is a bird breeder and she tells me he just loves me and has chosen me as his "mate"; I am flattered to say the least<3

I am just curious as to how long this may go on? The constant throwing up really gets in the way of our training. Whenever he go to train, Lozi will get to excited and we go nowhere with our session.

I am thinking this may be a seasonal thing, but any comments from grey owners who have experience with this behaviour would be appreciated :)

Cheers,

Brian

It's a seasonal thing but they can still regurgitate during other times as well. Willie the B&G is going through that right now and started being mean towards me once again, but asking for the dogs again....Only the dogs can get close to him during this period.....He just LOVES the dogs....lol

Oh my gosh, that's too funny. I've never heard of a parrot favouring a dog. That's actually really cute. Lozi seems to be a big fan of me and doesn't care too much for anyone else. Although, he isn't mean to my wife, dog, or cat, he just doesn't really care for them. I am actually quite impressed with Lozi. He is very calm, and friendly to new people, and even though he favours me he isn't mean to anyone else.

Thanks for the response :)
