How bad are perfume fumes?

My sisters perfume spilled in her backpack and it smells pretty strongly, in the living room at least. Kirby is in a different room and the smell is starting to fade but could the smell harm him? I don't smell it in his room, but the spot where it spilled is kinda strong!

Perfume can be pretty dangerous to birds as it can damage their lungs. What i would do with the back pack is to put it outside to air or even better put it in the washing machine. Good luck and i hope your bird will be OK.
