So, today I was attempting to lie on the couch and play some Playstation, but Lola was not having that.

She flew over to me and started trying to knock the controller out of my hand.

Ive only had her a month, and his is the first time she's actually flown over to me. Is that a sign she's getting used to me? lol.

The fact that she flew to you is a large step in the right direction.....even though it could also mean she is annoyed with your playstation controller.....I would be sure she cannot get to it when you are not using it.

I don't like earbuds & prefer earphones.....well, my Patagonian does not like the earphones & tries to bite them when I put them on. One time I took them off to answer the door & she jumped on the top of the door as I left the room. I didn't think anything about it as she often likes to sit there.....my mistake, because when I came back a few minutes later, my headphones looked like they had been through combat & she was sitting on the back of my chair, waiting for me.

I dont think the playstation controller was the issue. lol. She succeeded in knocking it out of my hand than got close to my face and started going "Hello! Lola! Pretty Bird! Hello!" Then when I went to reach for the controller she'd yell "NO!" and knock it down again. I had to sit there and talk to her for awhile then she flew back to the coat rack (Her new favorite perch) and let me get back to my game.

Haha, that's hysterical! Seems like the magic moment arrived when she felt it was necessary to claim her rightful position in your life, ie, she's priority over the playstation controller. :)

The other day the closet door was open a few inches and I thought to myself, no big deal if Sweet Pea wanders in there... she loves to explore. Well, a few minutes later, I look in to check on her, and she'd chewed the foam off of a fishing pole - oops! Not sure how hubby is going to feel when he finds out... Guess there's always something somewhere that they can have fun with.

Congratulation thats a big step forward

What a sweet and funny story! Lola sure told you what she wanted you to play with.....and it wasn't the Playstation. :D

ADORABLE!!!

Sounds like she is starting to bond with you. Congrats. In truth, she's jealous of you "playing" with most anything, computer mouse, cell phone, etc. I bet she won't think much of you petting another bird.
