Hi Everyone,
A few years ago I became the owner of a rescued 17 year old Illiger's Macaw (Blue Winged Macaw). At the time I did not know that this species was a rare well at least from what I was told by my local parrot shop. I have done some research, and seem to find the same not much about them except a few sites. He is a joy to have and has bonded to me very well and we have fixed most of his behavioral issues such as screaming, though he is free to scream now and then. I created this thread just to get an idea of how many people out there, well at least on this site have an Illiger's macaw and if you are in the Philadelphia area we can have a play date.
Thank You
