How much do babys eat?

Hey I'm a brand new bird owner with a GCC and he has been eating pretty much constantly for the past 3 hours. After he ate everything out of the bowl he just started squawking and screaming while picking at the empty shells on the top of the cage. I know that they can eat in excess of their body weight but this seems excessive for his size

It depends, some parrot eat more and some eat less. Are you feeding seed or pellet?

He has seeds in one bowl and pellets in another. He doesn't like the pellets I don't think as I've never seem him actually eat any but always goes to his seed bowl
