How to teach my goffins to play?

Any tips on showing my goffins (rescued from neglecting family) how to play or even lay on his back and be relaxed?

Best way to teach your bird anything is monkey see monkey do so have a seat near it and hold the toys up playing with them your self.If he isn't afraid of them put them in his cage and play with them. Make a big deal out of it to get him interested. It may take a couple for times doing it but he will get the hang of it and then you get to kick back and watch him.

I have the same issue and it's so sad. The one way I can get Cuzco active is giving him something to chew. And when I suppose he is in a wild mood, he reaches and dings one of the bells on the toys one time. I will try playing with his toys in his cage more (he's not afraid of them, he just looks at most everything like 'what? why?'). Are there any more suggestions?
