How to watch movies with your parrots!

Our birds love watching movies, especially Disney. Bella the African Grey loves learning language from movies. This is how we watch movies with our birds, including tips on helping them all get along while the movie is playing.

my conure sometimes watches movies or netflicks with me, but usually he just listens. He prefers the sound to me just typing.he does respond to bird youtube videos so he can "see" what is on the screen he just prefers the noise. I like your setup wit the base for them.

We do find that Bella our African grey is more stimulated by visuals and Happy is most stimulated by song. She is the only one of our birds with a natural sense of rhythm. She also likes watching different birds on youtube with us.

my BFA Cookie could care less for movies. He does enjoy some types of music. On the other hand... he will INSIST on me sharing YOUTUBE vids of birds, especially interesting to him are the ringnecks and amazons. Today he got really interested in various hatchlings... and several hours were devoted to his entertainment today.

Kiwi's only ever shown interest in one movie- District 9. We thought it was an "ok" movie, but we re-watch it every so often for his sake. He loves the aliens in the movies and "talks" back to them. Go figure

Salty also loves Youtube videos of Ringnecks and other Amazons, and has learned so many words and even an opera piece just from watching vids. Greys and Macaws... meeehhhh not so much. Such a snob.
