Hubby and I made some new friends yesterday 💖

We FINALLY got ourselves up to Maleny Bird World, located in the Sunshine Coast hinterland about an hour and a half's drive from where we live. They have five walk-thru aviaries with everything from the tiniest little finches (who were FAR too small and fast to get good pics of!) right up to Ruby the magnificent green wing macaw who pretty much rules the roost! AND the most beautiful sweet natured African grey who I almost bird-napped, I may have fallen just a little bit in love with him

First up is my hubby aka @MrLaurieKeats with a lutino rainbow lorikeet...

They also had a Major Mitchell's cockatoo who was pretty friendly with me

But then there was THIS guy, who totally stole my heart!!

I think this beauty is a galah/Major Mitchell’s hybrid…

Hubby got used as a perch a couple of times….

And here’s the magnificent Ruby!!

They’ve got SO many birds there I’m sure they wouldn’t even have noticed if I made off with that Grey. Lovejoy definitely would’ve though!!
