...with Hayao Miyazaki before he dies as he's getting old now. I almost snorted out loud, because as much as I absolutely ADMIRE Hayao and his work, and as good/creative as I may be as an Artist, I REALLY highly doubt Hayao Miyazaki would even consider teaching someone like me! Thanks Loki for planting a dream in my mind that I can't achieve! *grumpy face*

True, but Japan..? I don't even know much Japanese and I've got all our parrots here.. But really? A famous Animator/Movie Director? I really don't think he'd be interested in a small little 'commoner' (so to speak) such as myself. ;)

Moving would be difficult, but that's a small price to pay for chasing a dream. Sounds like time to learn some Japanese...:09:

Do it! Hayao Miyazaki is the greatest filmaker of all time, and a sweety.

I thought Studio Ghibli was closing down though?

Wow, that would be an amazing opportunity! Moving overseas is the challenge I see.
About the language don't worry, as in any developed country the people do speak English. Especially if he's so well known, he's had to work with people around the world. But learning the native language is always a positive thing regardless. :) Let us know how it goes!

As Ducatimom said, no harm in trying - worst that can happen he can say no...

Sounds like your husband really believes in you!
