i accidentally killed my pineapple conure

:54: How foolish I am and I just hate myself tonight! Was wanting to clip my pineapples wings but never got around to it. Well the little sweetie flew on my bedroom door and I was vacuuming without realizing he was up there..went to close the door heard and a squeal then he flopped to the ground...he lasted about a minute..broke my poor babys neck..
Now i suppose i'll have nightmares...poor little thing..must of broke its neck..he didn't suffer long but still..brought a tear to my eye actually...how can I be so stupid.....

If it helps at all... I have done astonishingly foolish things over the years, and not paid consequences.
If your darling passed away while loved and treasured, that in itself is a beautiful thing.
Please just grieve, learn, rise up, and someday soon... love another litle bird.

oh no... oh no no no... that is awful. How old was your baby? I'm sorry to hear this. I've heard of this happening before. I'm terrified now cause my lovebird likes to fly around the house and I'm afraid of the same thing happening.... So far she doesn't hang out on doors but it only takes once...

Gosh Im lucky nothing like this has happened to me. If I brought harm to one of my babies like that Im not sure how I could handle the guilt and agony of the loss.
