Midori leaves an awful lot of pellet crumbs in her bowls..
It's like she stands over them to eat, and chews up half of each pellet and spits it back in, lol. >_>

Do I sift and dump these out as though they were seed husks, or will she eat her crumbs?

LOL,,,to funny...my birdies do the same thing....mine are spoiled and don't eat the crumbs....I dump them in a dish for my husband to feed to our chickens...

You could put the crumbs outside to see if the wildbirds and chipmunks like it. :)

dont over fill the bowls, i only really just cover the bottom of nuts pellet dish lol she is a very wastefull eater, and that way i can afford to give her fresh each day lol

cause when she gets bored or feels that way out, she will also throw her pellets out of her food dish!!

I think in the wild the food would fall from the trees. Maybe they instinctively know that the best food is the best chance of survival. You will notice that when its something they really love, they hold it in their claw & eat it to the last bits.

Hmm. Alrighty. I'll try leaving them out for wild birds, I guess. :)
Maybe this is a sign I ALSO need a budgie, to clean up her tablescraps. xD

I dump them yeah, no matter how much or little I put in I always find mashed up pellets. I think Loco just loves to chew things and make a mess!
