We finally got a another bird! This lovely birdie chose us and we'd been looking for a addition for a few months but were not strongly drawn to any particular bird and wanted to fine the right one and today we did! He or she (dna results back in a week) is a 12 week old Nanday Conure. We saw him and immediately wanted to take him out and hold him...other birds there were lunging at our fingers but not this baby. He hopped right up to my chest and had a snuggle and let me give him kisses and I think it was meant to be. Ollie my sun conure is so far not impressed but doing okay with the new little guy. We're not formally introducing them until I get the little one to vet for a check up to be safe. I'm so excited! Name suggestions would be welcome.:rainbow1:

Congratulations, what a cute little face! I welcome your new addition and look forward to reading more about them (and hopefully see some more photos)!

Well, you will have no problem telling the difference between the two of them!

Happy to hear that you allowed them choose, they do such a great job of it.

Time will time if the two will get along with each other. Building social skills always helps.

Congratulations!

Oh my goodness! What a darling little baby!
It's always awesome when they pick YOU! It helps so much (I think) with the bonding.

When BB picked me,he was just 4.5 months young. He was in a little play area with his three siblings. The breeder and I were checking them out closely, and I knew about the "let them chose you" bit.

Beeb's was the only one who showed interest in me. Every time I tried to have one of the others step up on my hand, they'd run off, where BB just jumped on and ran up my arm to my shoulder and twittle in my ear. That's all it took lol.

Even when I got him home and was setting up his house,as soon as I opened his little take-me-home box,he ran up my arm again to my shoulder. He didn't see his house until a few hours later lol.

Congrats on your beautiful new baby! Now,thinking of a name :33:
We'll come up with something fitting!

Jim

Oh my word what a cutie! The name is obviously Mr. Sweetyface. Or miss, as the case may be ❤️

Willamina (Willy for short)

Opinions welcome.

Judging by the second photo.."Blacky" already likes to play with ball's. I bet if you got one of those "lighted" little whiffle ball thingies like what Al got for his Salty Boy, he/she would have a "ball" lol.
Geez I think I'll get one for Amy and Beebs lol.

Jim

Oh yes those "balls" (not sure why we're quoting that but why not) are really really fun for all! They were Ollie's but he no longer rolls around on the floor with them..he now prefers the slowly chew them to bits in his free time (because he's all grown up and mature now) but to each their own!

I like "Finley" for a boy,and "Abby" for a girl! :p
As for the " "...it's just one of my idiosyncrasies that I do lol!

Maybe if you make a "poll" (oops "") with those names,we could vote and help you out?

Jim

What an adorable baby!! Congratulations! I vote for Alex since it is on both the lists and works for either sex:)

Awww congrats, how beautiful is this little one.

Midori for a name, it means green x

Sweety McSweetyface!

I love Nandays. Their chatter could make anybody smile! Precious. Congratulations!

What a cutie!!! Congrats on your new little one. Have you thought of a name, yet? Waiting until you get DNA results back?

Edit: just saw your post about names....I love the name Finn for a male.

The winning name for this little one is Finley! We think it will work for about and girl so there you have it. Ollie seems jealous of him and not at all sexually interested so that is another slight clue to the gender but could be wrong. Ollie is not mad at me luckily, I'm showering him with more attention so he knows he still has Mommy's heart!

What are your Conures like? Personality ect. I may be getting one x
