Help im sure I have a mouse in rivers cage at night what can I do to stop them

Are you sure its not Rivers moving about? Parrots and birds aren't stationary at night. They move about, readjusting position. Some play a bit for short intervals. Do you see droppings, paper etc with chewed areas? Check out other areas to. Mice don't stay in one area. They usually travel around room edges. Look for droppings. They chew on furniture. Look at bottom of sofas etc. Travel along pipes isn't uncommon. Check under sinks in kitchen and bathroom. These are the first important steps. Positive notify management if in rental. The entry point could be in any apartment. In a house do the same. A home is easier and harder. Do the same as apartment in looking for entry and travel. Do you have children, other pets? Then decide what you're willing and able to do safely. There are a variety of ways to kill and/or capture mice.

Oh no! How can you tell? Did you find droppings? You need to get rid of the mice (you don't have one) for many reasons. Have you ever had mice in your house before? They aren't easy to get rid of but you need to act quickly. Many years ago a mouse got into my budgie's cage at night and he freaked out, flapping so madly he fractured his wing.
I would get several snap traps and set them up along the walls facing as in the drawing I posted (Joey had to get in the picture).
The oval shapes with the line are mice. The traps are the small rectangles. The black dot is where the bait is. Mice run around where the walls meet the floors. You want the baited part of the trap facing the wall so they see it and smell it as they travel around at night. If you have mice you should catch one pretty quickly. Once you catch one. Keep setting the traps every night until you go a week without catching any. I wouldnt use poison. Pets including birds can ingest the poison and die. Wild animals can eat a poisoned mouse and die. Don't use glue traps either. They don't kill the mice- they just get stuck to the glue trap, struggle to free themselves, and die a slow, miserable death.
Of course don't have traps set when Pilot is out!
Let us know how it goes!
