I need an answer quickly?

As long as he can see you I doubt he'd be stressed as long as it's not noisy or visually frightening to him, but taking him out of the house is the right thing to do...and...if possible, a window fan blowing outside, even after the cleaning cycle is finished, will help remove the remaining potentially toxic odor remnants.....

SO I guess I should really update my "signature". After my finches first clutch of babies hatched the lady who took our lone survivor baby also took the parents into her beautiful finch aviary. I get updates from her and they're doing so well - no more mr skittles bugging them.
Unfortunately Mr. Skittles got car sick not even 10 minutes into our drive to work that morning and I turned around and took him right home. It was so horrible seeing him throwing up and dizzy!
I did some research on ways to clean the oven without using the self cleaning feature. I tried the baking soda paste and let it sit for 12 hours and then scrubbed it off with vinegar, and to my surprise I have a squeaky clean, grease free oven! And Mr Skittles got to stay home. It was so easy I definitely don't mind doing that once or twice a year.
Now to work on Mr. Skittles car sickness.....

Sammy, Did you have any car freshner of any kind? Also were windows open or shut that could make a difference.Was the cage level or tilted somewhat?Just brainstorming. Bonita

The self cleaning oven feature WILL KILL your bird, almost instantly, if you don't get him out of their. Ideally, I'd have him out of the house for 12 hours..
If you don't want to take him to work, or what have you, then move the cage into the back yard until it is safe to bring him back in.
