Since I purchased Barney in mid November, she's been quite the entertaining Yellow Head Amazon. She's always wants to be the center of attention, and she has learned I ignore her obnoxious noises, but I do respond to her speaking voice. So she likes to talk during the morning chores.

I've learned she has two voices. She has a bright, happy english voice, and a creepy old lady voice. I've gotten used to her voices, and today I was quite suprised to hear this man's voice come from her beak.

"Hello, there."

I whirled around thinking a man had walked in the building. Instead there was Barney hanging upside down from the side of her cage (she's also an acrobat/gymnast) cackling with delight that she made me stop and look at her.

So, now I wonder how many 'personalities' my silly bird has?

That is kind of freaky when that happens! My OWA, Slater, so far has 4 or 5 different voices (one of which sounds like a devil from the exorcist!)
He does not have a cool British accent in any voice, though...would love to hear Barney speak in his proper English voice:)

That's what so great about the rehomes [some have had a lot of homes and experiences] . Mine still surprise me :)

Multiple Personality Disorder. Gotta love it! :-) One of these rehomes should be called Sybil.

Mine only has one voice - his own birdy sounding one :). I do think though that this is because his previous owners didn't talk to him much because he says one version of 'hello' exactly like my mom LOL!

That sounds just like a normal zon, We have some older rehomes and you never know what they'll come up with next.

God! That sounds terrifying!

Then again I'm the one to freak out if someone knocks on the doors, but still... (We live at the end of the road, and people turning around is normal but our neighbors never stop by so when someone does its creepy IMO. We had that happen a few days ago but turns out it was a moose on the porch!)

Funny though! Love how she was laughing - sounds like a little brat you've got yourself! But what parrot isn't?

My girl mostly says "hello" but she does say other things. I'm not sure whether she's got her other things from me or not. Could be. (or it could be the devil.....:()

LOL! God, I love amazons. :)

Mine says "I see you" in the most creepy voice. I think its hilarious!
