My husband who never had birds is turning into the bird whisper. He just gets them. My daughter also is smart aND had some good advise about using a necklace to keep sprinks from gettinger bored .
So today I had sprinkles out and on my shoulder. He has a history of nipping necks bad. I kept him on my shoulder as I did some stuff around the house. I had my hair up in a ponytail. This helped. He would just get too excited when in the hair and nip my neck. My husband said don't let him get bored. He was right if I kept moving and talking sprinkles was good. He only nipped me 2 times in 2 hours.
When he was on my shoulder he started to regurgitate for me too. I was so happy. Him not nipping and then he tried to feed me... this little guy does love me. I am glad I let him pick me.
I don't mind regurgitate food. I felt honored. Hahaha he has only been with us 2 months now. He is nippy and crazy at times but he is on his way to becoming the best bird ever.
