So its the dead of summer and our AC is busted. i put an ice cube in the bowl of my conure and she went CRAZY! she was picking at it, trying to hold it (which she couldnt, it would just keep slipping)
i was laughing and i thought it was okay as a one time think to keep her cool
was it okay? can i do it again? i mean she went for it i didnt force her:D

I do that too. My GCC loves to play with it. I also use ice cubes in the water bowl of my Celti Pak O Bird instead of water because then she can still get some water by licking the cubes or the melting water and then no water gets sloshed out all over the pack!

Greys like to bath in ice cool water. So I'm sure conures or other birds would enjoy it too.

That is funny! Dobby had ice for the first time yesterday! We got it on video. She was stealing the ice out of my sons cup and putting them in a pile on the middle of my bed! It was hilarious watching her take it and run as fast as she could with her little dinosaur feet!
