I got a cockatiel in December of last year when she was only 3 months old and from then to now I have been trying to tame her and have had very little luck with that. The most luck i have had was the fact that sheβs comfortable being around me but wonβt let me touch her and instead will walk away depending on how close I am.
Other than that I donβt have much progress and she is already a little over a year old and I havenβt been able to tame her. I spoke to the professional from which I got her, i have also read numerous articles and watched a lot of video and none of them have really worked. Big problem is that she wonβt eat the millet i give her and she doesnβt play with the toys other than a ribbon she nudges occasionally. Iβm getting to the point where Iβm starting to give up hope cause very little progress was made and 2 months from now itβs going to be a year since I have had her and she isnβt tamed and Iβm getting really concerned about her cause this also leads into my concern of not being able to clip her nails cause she isnβt that comfortable with me. all I want is advice on how to move forward with taming and training.
