Indian Ringneck: Damien

RIP: Dempsey & Winston
Basically just a heads up, Damien avoided a very big accident just barely. When letting him out he went to fly to his fave spot but took a detour on top of my book case and collided with the pointy end of a photo frame that is on top of my big unit. He escaped with only a little cut to his chest but if had been going faster I would have most likely had an impaled birdy.

So yes even the little things you think will be fine sometimes it's better to just move them to be safer rather than sorry. From now on I will be moving them each time he is to go out.

best regards, Maria and Damien
xx

Poor little guy. I'm glad he's ok!!!!

He's fine, it was a very small wound in the end and he seems unfazed by it. It doesn't even show anymore he's taken care of himself well! But I can imagine if it was any worst he could have gone into shock so I was in fact very very lucky he's ok.

I wouldn;t have thought my photo frames (free standing ones) would pose any threat too but it just goes to show how easy it is for a bird to panic.
