Hi,
Adoption would be even better but if you don?t have adoption centers near your area, then that?s fine. In my opinion, I love both ringnecks and cockatiels and both do well with budgies. I would say the Indian ring neck is great if you want a bird that will mimic you more often, or go for the cockatiel if you love a chill bird just sitting on you while u do other things. The male cockatiel is known to be more vocal and more likely to talk and whistle tunes. The female cockatiel is less likely to do these things but still a good choice if you like some quiet time. It all just is based on preference and what your personal interests are. So exciting that you plan on adding another bird to the flock. Good luck!

Definitely a cockatiel. IRN are very territorial. And aggressive during mating time if a female. And yes. Adopt. Don’t buy. Also. Males are usually more social. They also have the ability to learn words etc.
