Introducing Macaw to a cage

At what age to you start introducing a macaw to their cage? I've started letting her crawl around in it a bit to start getting use to it but she freaks out each time. She's only about 12 weeks so maybe too early to be showing her the cage?

You can slowly introduce her to the cage, giving her rewards(treats like nuts, seeds etc) every time she goes near the cage

Always always work at the parrots pace and not yours. Parrots rate of acceptance of new things is often glacial ( moves as fast as a glacier) as compared to our quick monkey brains.
