Can anyone tell what subspecies she is? I've looked in the book and I can't tell. I've ruled out some but not all of them. Any help would be appreciated BUT I don't need to know to love her.
She's lovely Dopey, so I have to ask-does she have any female ekkie hormone attitude I keep hearing about? She looks so sweet, it doesn't seem possible. It makes me wonder if they get a bad rap or what the deal is.
Please keep me straight on this. I just tend to forget to do the bathing and do it once during the week and once on the weekend - but sometimes more. I don't have a fid yet that seems to like it. They just tolerate it.Congrats on your red head!
We will need closer pics of her and her eyes, weight as well to help identify sub-species as Wendy said.
Her feather quality is not great but I think with some correct diet and much needed baths she should be all slick and beautiful. It is rare for me to see or hear from people that bathe their eclectus as much as I think they need it. Around here it is every other day and every day while moulting.
I have the Eclectus Volkman's seed. I was trying to keep her diet the same for now and that's why the pellets are in there. I haven't seen anything resembling cheerios.
