Is cast iron safe to use in another room of a parrot? We want to get some safe cookware since we got rid of all of our non stick.

Cast iron is a good choice. It's bird-safe and will last a lifetime if properly cared for. I always like to mention the cast iron pan that I have that was originally one of my grandmother's wedding gifts-- in 1915. I still use that 98-year-old pan regularly. :)

Even though it's safe remember that smoke and over heated oil can still be a danger
