Green cheek conure
Hi, so I’m a new parrot owner and yesterday I brought home a 2 month old conure named pesto and my 7 week old cockatiel cheeku. So the concern that I’m having is for cheeku the cockatiel. He is just sleeping 80% if the time and is puffed up. Do you think he’s I’ll or is he just super young thus still stressed out.

I would very much worry he was sick and definitely get him to a veterinarian. Never mess around with a fluffed burd

I always recommend a vet check up if you can just in case. Birds like to hide being sick so better safe then sorry.

That being said in my and my husbands experience young cockateils seem to sleep a lot compared to some of the other bird species. Its like eat , explore a minute then sleep and repeat.
