My sun conure seems to be geting in to everything (more then usual) he chews anything paper, is screetching more.

It's coming of age so hormones are surging and it's going through the transition from baby to adult. It's normal :)

All birds go through a "Terrible Two" mode. Many of them stay there! LOL Redirect his behavior with foraging opportunities. Give him things that he's allowed to chew, like paper towel rolls, cardboard or wood. Lots of toys. Things that'll occupy his mind and make him think, and work for treats. Bored birds will misbehave, and get into trouble.

Conures seem to hit it at around 8-10 months old. I know people hear "terrible 2s" and expect it to hit at age 2, but that's more true of the larger parrots. By age 2-3 conures are hitting puberty (are teenagers to young adults).

They tend to start trying to be dominant, pushing their boundaries. They may even tell you, "No!" when you ask them to do something like step up or go back in their cage.

Yes, Suns can have it happen. My experiences were complete opposites with my 2 conures. Rowdy went through it with all the expected behaviors and my Blue Crown had barely a ripple.
