Hey all,

My 1 yr old GCC has been pooping very liquidy in the last week but he has been acting completely normal. Since I am out of town, I called the vet to ask her what I could do and she said that I could give him some lemon water, bananas, and cooked carrots to see if it helped. His poop has changed a little since how much liquid it was at the beginning, but I am not sure if this is "normal". It still clearly has all three parts, but when he poops he seems to be exerting more force, and it seems to come out a little spread out at times. I've linked a few pictures. I hope someone with experience with a GCC can tell me if this poop is regular or if I should take him to a local vet.

There is 3 pictures in the album:

When i had my green cheek conure we got a sheet from our vet describing the poop. (the pictures you have are a bit blurry so i cant tell )but if it is diarrhea from what that sheet says it could be because you left because it says that 24 hours after a change they can have diarrhea or if not that then it can signify bacteria, parasites, viruses, fungi,or chlamydia...im not really sure about the colour but i would definetly get a vet to check it out ...hope this helps :)

That colour looks awful. Even when my parrots had extreme diarrhea it just turned clear. Poop is always white or green with a bit of clear sometimes. Did you tell her the colour?

Thanks Wenz2712 for the link and to you too cokeclassic. I was wondering about my new sons poop and just searched it and this thread popped up. Ah such wonderful technology.
