Congo African Grey: Jenga
Can I get a woohoo?! She's angry at me for it, but is eating her zupreem!

Nice job! She will be a much healthier bird because of it. :)

I still feed some seed but it's not the main staple of their diets. They get all sorts of other fresh foods and Harrison's. But I still a give little seed once or twice a week. But congrats on weaning your off especially if that's all it was eating.

Yay!!! That's great news!!! Does Jenga do fruits and veggies??? :)

I can picture her at one of those meetings: ''l'am Janga and I'm addicted to seeds''. LoL.
Good for you!!! I straggled for 4 years with my tiel's until they started to eat some pellets. Hope it was worth it.

Great job!!

I had to get Percy off sunflower seeds too but he readily gave them up in favor of fresh foods. I still use sunflower seeds in his foraging toys though but it is very little. Now if only I can convince him that ALL the pellets are good for him and not only the yellow ones... :31:

here you go WOO HOO!! :)....well done, and NOT an easy task sometimes.

Life would be so much easier if the breeder would wean them onto a proper diet to begin with. I know it's not cost effective, but it sure is a pain.

Sammie was weaned onto Zupreem fruit blend and seeds. Thankfully she'll eat just about anything fresh I give her, but I can't get her to eat TOPS or Harrison's for love nor money.

Then there's the linnies who will only eat seed and pomegranates.

She wouldn't go for Harrisons and still snubs her nose at most things fresh, but we're working on it! Latest breakthrough was Brussel sprouts!

Congrats! Its such a pain changing food for a grey it took me a good 3 months before i could give pellets full time

At first she would eat them, but only when it was convenient for her then she started to eat them pretty regularly once the seeds ran out so I just slowly cut out all the seeds. I will start giving her some seeds again - but only in the form of treats or foraging rewards. She is a total junk food addict (pizza, chips etc) and turns her nose up at everything healthy and green. She does like fruits, but I do try to limit those as well because they make her poop a little watery.

I think I might try a mini chop batch this weekend! Anyone else use chop?
