Since you asked for it. There were 3 of them in here, but by the time I grabbed the camera, the third had been kicked off.

See they're sooooo cute!!! How old are they? Have they gone off to new homes yet? Will you keep them forever? How could you ever send them away??

Ha ha, those two are almost 3 months old now, and yes they've gone off to their new homes. They were about 5 weeks old in those pictures. I can't keep all my babies forever, I wouldn't be able to give all of them the time and attention they would deserve. Reminding myself of that helps when it's time for them to move on. Plus, I have another clutch in the middle of hatching now, so more babies to raise soon.

Hey, how is Tiki doing these days? I never see posts about him.

Also it's been over a week.......

Al, Tiki is doing great. He's much happier now in the bird room away from the tv. He got upset over the fireworks this week a bit, but he seemed better when I turned the radio on for them to help drown out the noise. I got my first good bite from him in quite a while a few weeks ago, but that was my fault. I knew he was hormonal, but I decided to offer him my wrist to step up anyway. I should have left him be for a few more days before doing that. Oh well, he's back to his usual sweet self now.

Inger, I know, I pulled the babies Sunday night to start hand feeding. The oldest 2 are 2 weeks old and the youngest is just over a week. If I remember when I get home I will take a few pictures, otherwise I will try to remember tomorrow.

Okay here you go. The youngest parrotlet hatched June 27th. I pulled earlier than I had intended with that one, but my dates were marked down wrong and by the time I realized it, I had already pulled it, and wasn't sure if mom and dad would accept it back since it was the last baby, so I just hand fed anyway. Normally I would not pull that young unless there was a problem.

The older one here hatched June 20th. I know she is a girl, as is the other older one that hatched the 21st. If they were boys, the blue on their flights would show through the sheath of the pin feathers by now. So the two pictured are only a week apart but what a huge difference it makes.
