Parrots
5 Congo African Greys, 2 linneolated Parakeets,
The DNA test came back and my Olivia is a boy!!! Lol...I sure am surprised as was the parrot shop, they were convinced he was a she. I have to find a new name! Haha! Just had to mention this little tidbit!!

oh come on ... Petmart told me they list whatever sex of the bird the breeders told them. Then I asked did the breeder provide any DNA paperwork, they said no. Petmart just rely on the breeders (beeing experts:rolleyes:) to tell them the sex of the dimorphic bird.

I agree with TessieB, I think Ollie would be a great name change:)

Your lucky, i always name mine boys and they turn into girls, LOL.

I have always gone with unisex names too.

People still get confused about their gender. I had a female Ekkie and named her Gryffin on purpose, and people constantly think Robin and Raven are girls :52: I always have to say "this is Robin (or Raven), and he's a BOY. :)

Yeah, since he's so new, I don't think it will confuse him at all :)

I need to get Mango tested, I'm not sure if Mango is a girls name

Mango is unisex I think.

Personally, I've always typically named my boys girly androgynous names, and girls boyish androgynous names :) I don't know why, I just realized that I do that.

Actually I had trouble back when picking a name for Robin, but my dad thought of it - as in the bird species Robin with an orange breast.

Mango is a very popular bird name. Go for it if you like it :)

Yes, a unisex name would've been easier! For me anyways! Anyways, we have named him Oliver, and it fits him perfectly!! He is such a joy to have!

Congrats always nice knowing what sex your bird is.

Ollie and Oliver are suitable names, sounds familiar to Olivia.

I switched my Mango to Mangie because Mango felt boyish to me. Lol. And there is so many Mangos.
