Just want to confirm a few things

That sounds awesome roxy. If it weren't for living in the suburbs i would basically have a farm full of animals. And be breeding great danes. And have a few more parrots. Like a long billed Corella and maybe a major Mitchells cockatoo. But alas I do not have the funds to buy a house in the country. So i have to stick with one bird, and two dogs. Sigh :)

It is nice. Everyone gets along and I figure if I don't complain about the dynamite and the shooting of guns all the time, no one will say anything about what I do. The people across the road asked once if their air compressor and tools were bothering me, lol! I said, are my birds bothering you? Or my guitar? They said no, and I said your sounds don't bother me either:)

I have my galah and shortbilled corella outside on the patio 24/7... and have never had a complaint about noise from them... My dog, on the other hand, is a different story...

I think she'll be fine... Encourage all the sounds you like, and ignore the ones you don't - she'll soon catch on... We do have an advantage, living in Australia... the wild birds make more noise than the tame ones...

Oh totally lene I don't worry at all in the afternoons cause I have a flock of wild Loris that love a tree in my neighbors yard. And they are so much louder than her it ain't funny. Luckily she's silent at night and in the morning until I uncover her. I'm not to concerned with her noise. But i do have one more question, when she's on my shoulder I don't mind her nibbling my shirt, earings or necklace, but everynow and then shell accidently get my skin. How do I deal with that. Do i just block her beak with my habd and say no? Or try to ignore it? I know reacting loudly or dramatically is a bad idea

If you do something to Suki she doesn't like, she'll probably make a noise... Try to imitate that.. If you know beforehand, she'll go for a nibble, yes, just block her beak... I grab Max softly around his neck (I love his neck... lol) and give him a kiss on his beak, saying 'gentle'...

The thing is Ginkai our parrots are only what we teach them. They don't have a clue to the concept of rules. That is what we have to teach them. We have to hone into their body language.

You have only had your baby for a few days so you have the perfect opportunity to do things right from the beginning.

I did PM you a series of links that should be very helpful with the training of Suki Lala.

Thanks Pedro, I'll be reading them asap, I know I have a good chance to train her since I only just got her and that's why I'm asking all the questions :)
