I'm just wondering...can a pair of successful breeders also be good pets?

Jim

Being a frequent visiter to a local breeder, I can kinda answer the question, it depends on the bird as an individual.
The breeder I visit has some good pet quality pairs that are very affectionate and cuddly and love the attention from their human companions. Other pairs wouldn't make good pets, as they can be nippy and such.
But, to get a good quality pet, it needs to have been bred by good quality pets, the more affectionate the parents are, the more affectionate the babies are.

The pair I have that have had 2 clutches the female is very friendly. The male not.
He was not hand tame when I bought him.
