Hi guys, this morning she was doing her usual sound (the phone ringing) but this morning she added a hello on the end!

When I bought her I knew there was a possibility of her talking. But now that she is.

Have any of your birds been talking, if so what was it

I meant now she is ( second line)

My two caiques both started saying "what?" at the same time. I guess one taught the other? Definitely didn't think it was going to be their first word :P Now they say it to each other all the time! haha

Hey and welcome to the forum. How old is your Keiko ? how long have you had her. Don't meet many folks from downunder with zons. Some zons talk ,some don't talk much and some don't shut up.LOL

She's only about 17-18 weeks. And I read that they don't normally talk till there are two!!

And yes amazons are very hard to find down here. I had to drive 1 hour & a half to get to the breeder

17-18 wks , that's not all that early for a zon to be talking. The ones that are talkers start early, yeah some don't talk much and start later. The ones that start early are usually good talkers and should be encouraged. Congrats ,some are good singers as well.

Parker says
hi what are you doing
hi Parker
good boy
oh boy
he makes a clicking noise
does a wolf whistle
and is learning the andy griffith theme song
he is 10 months and he started talking at around 12-15 weeks

That is great BirdBoy! It is one of those moments you will never forget. My 'zon spoke his first words ("come here") 30 years ago...seems like yesterday!
