Kiko the Grumpy old man

I have had Kiko for just over three years now, and I enjoy every single day with him. Although he is a grumpy old man, hates to be pet, refuses to step up on my finger, and hisses at anything that annoys him, I love him dearly. So as a celebratory day, I just wanted to post a few pictures of him. I think this will be his page, and if I have any general questions, or comments about him, I will post it here.

Really nice pics!! Hopefully over time Kiko will grow closer and allow more handling. But he will still be lovable even if on his own terms!!

Thanks! And he is really loveable on his own terms. We have an 'understanding' of each other. He loves my attention, as long as I keep my hands to myself. I move him around with a ladder side thingy, because he does know step up. The only time y fingers can nearly touch is face is if I have a sunflower seed for him.

I have had him for three years, and he made awesome improvements the first two, but the last year not so much.

Maybe he`ll get better. He certainly is adorable.

He'll come around. And even more. I notice he may be molting around the neck. They can be especially cranky around that time but still enjoy some interaction even though not accepting much physical contact. I agree on "own terms." He's a cutie. Not an oldie yet! But can still be just as a cutie regardless and spunky.

I absolutely love that you have such a caring relationship & found a mutual understanding together. It's hard when you can't hold or touch etc. and you want to but it's so great to hear of successes even without that!

What a handsome fella Kiko is I love the yellow head! I'm just prayin' when BB gets his adult clothes on,he really is a he lol..really wont matter tho..Amy and I adore the little grey 'tiel as "he" is lol.

No worries, BB is a boy for sure... the way he sings and I also saw him bob his head a little... you've got a lad on your hands

He's gonna look very similar to Kiko... a beauty
