She is lovely! I would caution against the use of ankle chains---but if she is outside, she does need something on (like a leash---even clipped birds should always have something on outside because they can still fly given the right wind, height, space etc).
They sell harnesses that are safer than what you have there. The risk with the ankle bands is that they can break their leg if they do fly.
The harnesses are much safer, but they are harder to put on and require some training. I would start training young-- it is kind of a slow process, but it would be worth it.

Thanks for info. I understand having a chained tether is not optimal for her, but received her from the breeder with that gear. I will explore other options available here in Bali.

Here is the web address for the Aviator harness, no doubt THE most popular one used in the US and the EU and much else of the world. An while you may not be able to get one at a reasonable price in Bali, you could possibly use the pictures to design one in say leather or other material that would resist her chewing on it.

Lots and lots of birds are very very very comfortable with them, but it takes time.
You have had yours for such a short time.
It's a process.
Mine hates hers, but I haven't been as dilligent as I should be and I got her as an adult, so , it is a little harder. It kind of depends on the bird, the age, the tactics etc-- mine is SUPER scared of random objects (although she is fearless of animals and people lol), so harness training is harder for me than for someone whose bird is more relaxed about that sort of thing. ..BUT if I did a little each day, I am sure she would come around...I just lack motivation sometimes lol
