Perjo - Female CAG hatch Nov 2015
For about three weeks I've laid on the couch and allowed Perjo to sit on my chest. She seemed to take to it instantly, a little out of not being comfortable and used to it so she reverted to what she was used to, allowing me to rub her head and neck. Well she has become very fond of doing this, and now when I say "you wanna lay down" she runs over to me knowing exactly what I'm talking about.

She has become very affectionate during this time, squatting down and forcing her head into my neck, and forcing herself into position to be scratched on her head and face. To the point she seems to be trying to suck on my finger. She even enjoys rubbing directly under her beak on her crop area. She makes very soft clicks and high pitched moans, to express how much she enjoys it. Probably b/c I speak softly to her and make similar sounds to her.

It's refreshing and surprising to see. Refreshing b/c she seems to be using her beak with more force lately. Much more of a biting than I've seen from here in her first 8 months. Surprising b/c CAGS are not known to be all that affectionate.

With any luck Perjo will retain the affectionate behavior. None of my Greys have ever been cuddly even though they were hand-fed in my home. There are always exceptions, but we tend to love Greys for their other wonderful attributes!

Nigel is like this too. Crawls up and asks for a cuddle. Such a sweet thing.

Tallulah enjoys this too, Gonzo definitely does not! They're totally polar opposites when it comes to how they like attention. After two years Gonzo has finally let me scratch his head once in a while, but almost immediately, Tallulah was super affectionate, when she was formerly starting to be aggressive with her former owner.

Harry is also very affectionate.
In the evening he often lays on his pillow on my lap.
Sometimes he wants a blanket over him.
