Good think that you are well prepared. Good luck with your new bird

this makes me so impatient. My 4 month old baby comes home on thursday and I haven't even looked for toys yet!

Awesome !!!!
Something to keep you busy during the 8 week wait
Bet you can't wiat

That will keep you busy for sure.. Im lazy I buy my toys!! LOL Birds are a small fortune!

8 weeks omg I would die!!!! I bet your so excited. Those toys look like a lot of fun for your new baby!!!!

Thanks guys. I am SUPER excited and SUPER impatient! Seems like such a long time especially since I've been waiting for breeding season since May! At least it has given me plenty of time to prepare- new cage, toys plus HEAPS of info, hints and tips from reading this forum! I definitely feel a lot more informed than I was a few months ago!

I ordered the toys and parts on eBay but the seller actually lives close to me so I didn't have to pay postage which saved me around $50! :D

I can't wait to get stuck into making some toys this afternoon. Think I'll browse a few sites for ideas to get the creative juices flowing. :)

Here are three I made this afternoon! :D I'm pretty happy with my first attempts!

Nice job! You ate going to have one lucky bird!

He is going to LOVE these! My four month old YSGCC loves chewing on everything, but especially leather. Im also having fun hiding almonds (his favourite treat) inside vine balls and attaching them to the side of his cage ... I attach with curtain rings used for a shower curtain ($4 at the discount store, I threw the shower curtain away). Ive discovered Cheeky also loves cracking gumnuts and chewing on dry banksia, grevillea and gum leaves.

Good luck with your new baby. I know you will have lots of fun with him.

The shower curtain rings are a great idea! I have a whole heaps of baby toys left from my kids and have used 'link ems' to attach toys in the birdcage. They are a lot like shower curtain rings!

Here are the link ems. I think they are around $9 for a pack of 25 at Big W!
