Thanks alot for your reply. I dont own a Lory yet, waiting on my pet shop to find me a Dusky :D

Yeah they are beautiful, more common I think than your Green Naped though :)

KIWI & BLUE: English Budgerigars (RIP after 10 years)
They are definitely the most vibrant family of birds! Just gorgeous!

Some of them don't considered to be good pet birds though... their food attracts ants big time!!! We've been treating inside and outside for ants as they're super bad this year. So we finally went to get two size Tupperware where the small one sits inside the big one, cage feet sits in the smaller dish while the big dish gets filled with water and vinegar. Viola no more ants....hang shower curtains around their cage or hook towels around the cage, they make one heck of a mess!!!! Lay towels infront of their cage. Plastic toys be the best!!!

I didn't even think of the ants! I imagine a little nectar spill could cause a full infestation!
