It had to happen I suppose, im working from home today and Enzo has just discovered that she can oh so easily, sub second, remove keys from my keyboard....the right CTRL key was the first ;)

I buy my bird the cheap Logitech keyboards at Walmart ($20), so she can remove the keys. It's like a puzzle game for her. Cool thing is that you can push them right back in.

I have a whole pile of keyboards for my tablet that Salty has managed pick keys off of while I am not looking, which I use to try and repair the least Salty-ized one. Sometimes I can and sometimes I just deal with not having a comma or an R key for awhile. COuld be worse - at least he doesn't try to eat them.

I literally have a pile of keyboards in the garage that I'm going to get around to gifting Mango n' Moch at some point...just because I'm already missing an ALT and PGUP key from my laptop..grr!!:D

Ask me how many keys are missing from my really expensive Alienware laptop...go ahead...

LOL, oh...and I was 'suffering in silence'.

Appie not just plucks them out, but also mutilates the point where they connect to the board.

Grinnn, I laughed so loud at the way you phrased this!
Very clever!!

Thank you!!

Geez I wish my parrot picked at my keyboard... he's more interested in humping it >>

Nike, who hardly ever plays, will pluck the keys off my keyboard as well. I have an old one in the attic that I'll bring down for her not that this thread has me thinking ;)

Lost CONTROL????????????????????????

rofl and all that stuff!

Priceless!

My lovie managed to "eat" my screen protector. She didn't actually injest any.

Sunny made sure I had a wireless mouse

(no, its not working anymore)

and went after the replacement, also known as nearly-wireless-mouse
(ducttape is holding it together)

Haha it's a common thing then. Beware if you are a toe or a keyboard.
Thankfully I use the laptop lid as a mouse Matt along with an external monitor and external usb keyboard

Anakin has removed and lost keyboard keys and the battery cover. He has also damaged a fairly new monitor by attacking pictures of other bird and politicians. Oh and don't forget the TV and stereo remotes.

Gracie has done her damage to the keyboard and removed the batteries from it. At least she didn't destroy the battery cover.

Yeah, me too now...

Today Sunny tried the age old excuse: "He started it"

She was messing around on the table with some ripped up tissues- I already had the keyboard out of the way, trying to drink my tea and watch/hear youtubes as well as keeping an eye (and a few fingers) on her at the same time.

(*sigh* multitasking never ends well )

She was doing a lot of macaw-rolling-around (on her sides and back) and somehow manged to get herself entangled in the cord of the mouse (that was really really out of the way) so....yea..... selfdefense .... ?

You can pick up broken keyboards at value villages and goodwills for a few bucks, and as long as you give them a good cleaning first they're a wonderful distraction for birds to save your computer's keyboard.

i should've known better than to leave my laptop open for even a few minutes with unsupervised mischief-makers around...

^I found this website in case it helps any of you, currently internally arguing with myself whether this justifies a new laptop XD
