Have a lovebird named Lucky.

She sometimes get these sores on her feet, and legs.

I have putting stuff called "Healx Soother Plus" on her legs, but I am not sure it helps.

I have attached a photo, you can see the sore on her left leg.

Have you thought about taking all the dowel perches out and replacing them with natural branches you can get from the pet store. Also a rope perch may help also... but get rid of those dowels.

Lucky rarely stands on dowels.

She has a bad right foot - it was badly injured before I found her.

Anyway, I put platforms in cage, because it's hard for her to perch on a dowel.

The platforms are made from a parrot ladder that I have hung horizontally. I cover the rungs with a flat piece of cardboard, then cover that in "moleskin"

[ame="http://www.amazon.com/Dr-Scholls-Moleskin-Padding-Count/dp/B007W9MGLI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1436020414&sr=8-1&keywords=moleskin"]Amazon.com: Dr. Scholl's Moleskin Plus 24" x 4 5/8" Padding Roll, 1 Count: Health & Personal Care[/ame]

Lucky uses these platforms, instead of a perch.

Also, Lucky is out of cage a lot. She will, usually, stand on the bottom of the cage, or on her platforms.

Lucky stands on many different perches in a day. She does not stand on a dowel all day.

I suppose I should have mentioned that.

Maybe he needs his feet checked out by the vet? Could be something else going on with him. What is his diet like?

There a lot of foods that Lucky will not eat. She will not eat greens, except sprouted wheat berries, and I have not given her any wheat berries latesly.

Her main foods are apples and Rowdybush. She used to crush the rowdybush to a powder, then roll her apple bits in it. First pet I ever own that prepared food. Now we crush the rowdybush for her. She still love to roll her apples in it.

After that, she loves corn. We buy organic sweet corn. She loves it. She also gets organic brown rice occasionally.

Every once in a while she gets eggs. She loves them.

She gets a little banana. It is hard not to give it to her. She goes crazy when she sees me with a banana. I used banana to catch her when I first found her in my back yard, three years ago.

We give her sunflower seeds as treats.

Other than corn, and sprouted wheat berries, we cannot get her to eat vegetables. She won't eat most fruits either, just apples and bananas.

I think I would bring her into the vet for her feet. She sounds like she has a really good diet! I have three lovies and none of them have ever had sore feet like that. Personally I would just bring her in.
