I adopted a lovebird about 3 months ago, and up until a few weeks ago he always wanted to be out of his cage. But now he very rarely is even interested in leaving his cage. A few weeks ago he also started molting, and around then stopped stepping up. could the molt cause him to not want to leave his cage? Any advice is appreciated!

Are you sure he's a he. My lovie did that for a couple days before she built a nest and laid eggs.
