I've hand fed baby budgies from hatching to maturity and the process is the same for a large parrot but the bigger the parrot the easier it is. I don't know specifics about how much to feed a baby macaw other than to feed it enough and frequently enough that it gains weight every day. Your breeder is the best source for specifics but if you want any general hand feeding and weaning advice just ask me. Any serious problems need an avian vets advice.
