African Grey - Alfie
Hi all, thank you for accepting me on your forum. It’s been too long since I last posted. My African grey is 15 years old this year and he’s a great companion to have around. Always says things or does things to make you smile and always when it’s inappropriate.
I have a question to ask.
We recently moved Alfie’s cage into the front room and I think it’s the happiest I’ve ever seen him.
But he makes this new noise that I don’t understand.
Is he in pain? Why is he making this sound?
If any African grey owners can tell me I’d very much appreciate it.
He eats, drinks ok and I think he’s in good health.
Kind regards
Chris

Welcome to you and Alfie! I don't see a video link in current or initial post. Unsure how you uploaded, but only YouTube or Vimeo are usable with forum. Direct uploading from a device is not yet allowed. (but we're working on it!)

Greys are amazing talkers and quickly pick up new vocalizations.

It's hard to know without actual clip---generally "weird" noises are either hormonal or respiratory-related.

greys are uncanny on picking up on the strangest sounds/noises..creaking doors, microwave beeps,a clock ticking...mine did a perfect immitation of me snoring  Can't see your vid so I cant offer any insight sorry.
