Me and rio

Hello I'm new to all of this,
Me and rio have just got to know each other, we are still learning to trust each other but we are getting there, rio is a crim rosella he is about 4 years old, I have had him just under a week, rio can't talk and isn't tamed yet but we are slowly getting there, rio loves playing with his toys and he favourite food is a carrots which we share. One thing I can't work out is that he keeps walking up and down one perch. Please help if you know what it means thank you

Hello, and welcome to the Parrot Forums family!

Rio's constant back and forth certainly seems to indicate some excitement. He likely is looking forward to some out time, especially if he was used to such at his prior home. But when you say he isn't tamed yet, do you mean he was never hand tame? Or that he's just not used to you as of yet? How you approach this would vary depending on which of these scenarios fits his description.
