These are my two green cheek conures, Genevieve and Phaedrus. I call them my Gremlins.

Genevieve, who I call Gené (pronounced Ginny, but more presumptuous) is my baby. She's about 11 months old, and I brought her home last summer.
Her hobbies include:
Sunbathing

Being a burrito

Staring into your soul

And sharing food with her sister Lucy

Phaedrus, who I call Phae, is still adjusting to being with a flock and his only real hobby right now is being adorable. He was rescued by me from a neglectful home in late October and is finally just starting to show his personality. He finally sees me as part of the flock and not just some scary human.

They also enjoy snuggling together and making my heart ache from cuteness.

We look forward to meeting you all!

Thank you! They've truly become my world, and I can say without exaggeration that I love them more than I've ever loved any one or any thing :o

Truly stunning birds. I know how you feel about your birdies. I have only had mine a couple of weeks and i have fallen head over heels in love.

Thank you, Chunky's human :D

Conures are really amazing and energetic birds. I really do feel that "gremlin" is an accurate descriptor of them. I hope you have a long and wonderful life with yours (:

Extremely cute :). Especially the last pic!

Thank you (:
That one was taken on Valentine's Day actually! They bonded instantly when I brought Phae home. I was worried they wouldn't get along because of the potential age gap. I have no idea how old Phae is, but he's definitely an adult, where Gené is still a juvenile. Genevieve still prefers me over Phae, but if I'm not paying attention to them and doing my own thing, she'll happily snuggle and chitter with him. They sleep in their cage smooshed up together as well, which makes me very happy.

Those photos are darling and your birds are precious little beauties. Thanks for sharing.

Adorable flock :)
Now I have to fight the urge on wanting a Green Cheek myself!

If that isn't one of THE sweetest introductions I've ever seen! :D Gorgeous babies you've got there, and obviously so much loved and so well cared for! You put an insta-smile on my face, and I thank you for that. :)

Thank you guys so much! I take great pride in my flock (:
My cockatiel Lucy thinks she's a conure. I know there's a separate forum for tiels, but she's been growing up with my conures and she's pretty much their sister. They even share a cage at night!

They also share snuggles with me.

I just really love them all equally. I'll probably round up some individual pictures of Lucy and give her her own introduction thread later :yellow1:

All of your birds are so pretty. Do they all get along or do they dont like your budgies? I have noticed some birds aree annoyed by budgies so I am worried to get one. Phead is very cute. I want to add to my flock as I am worried Kalypso is lonely during the day.

The budgies kind of keep to themselves for the most part, but once in a while they'll mingle with my monsters (the conures and tiel).
Genevieve chases them around because she wants to play/snuggle but the shrimps are skittish and run away. They tolerate Lucy (my tiel), and I actually housed one of my budgies with Lucy for a little while. Poor Ludo (female budgie) was getting depressed because the other two budgies were bonding and excluding her.
They ended up missing her and have welcomed her back into the flock afterwards though!

Lucy gets along pretty well with the conures, and they share a roost cage together (they're out all day, since I'm usually home). I do have a backup cage for just in case they're moody and not getting along. I'm aware that when they get hormonal they probably won't get along. But Lucy prefers me over any of the birds.

I think a calm budgie might be a good companion for a lonely tiel. Just be sure to give them plenty of time to get to know each other before you attempt to get them to mingle. Lucy and Gené both grew up around my budgies, so they've been taught to live in a mixed flock. Introducing a new bird to an older bird might not go as smoothly.

My tiel isnt old. She is almost a year. I got her from a petstore who raises a select few of birds i.e tiels, loves, and conures. She grew up there with other birds so Im not to worried. I really want a caique or black lory but you got a love a budgie.

Ah, sorry for assuming! Mine is 11 months (: Genevieve is 10 months! Babies for everyone!

Caiques are super high-energy and I'm not entirely sure they would make a good companion for a tiel. Of course that's up to the individual bird and what you feel is right for you, but I'm just warning that every caique I've seen has been insane (in a good way!). I don't know much about lories and lorikeets except that they need a nectar diet, which put them out of my care ability because nectar is too expensive here ):

Budgies are really fantastic, especially if you can get a hand-raised one from a breeder. I've been unsuccessful in my attempts to find one, so all three of mine are from a pet store. They sing and dance around all day and it's really quite lovely. They'll come up to me and step up on my hand, but ultimately prefer each other and don't care much for me.

Not trying to sway you into getting a budgie! Just letting you know my experience (:

Now thats a cute pair of parrots! They looks so happy to have each other:D It's nice all your birds get along so well. Curious if you ever get the conures confused since they look so similar?

I live in Tallahassee so there are no breeders or specialty bird stores but I am willing to put in the time and effort to tame one. The caique or lory would be more for me as I like them. I dont plan on them getting along. Its always best to expect the worst. Im not home all day so thats the main reason for another bird. I have a spare cage that could be used for a budgie out in the garage. It may come into use soon.
