First off, sorry about the poor quality photos. Gotta love my camera on my phone....I miss my Nikon.

I was given this 3 year old budgie from a friend on another forum. She no longer had time for him (?) or her other budgie she rehomed.

She wasent sure if the bird was male or female. She assumed male. If you can tell from these pics let me know please! I am thinking a female because her nose is not blue, pink, or purple.

She had him/her since he/she was a hand raised chick. So he/she is super tame/friendly .

Right now he/she is in quarantine though he/she has a clean bill of health.

Also could you give and idea of his color/mutation from these pics? Again I know the quality sucks.

I have decided to name her Sprite

Thanks! I am pretty thrilled with her. She is such a cutie! You can't really tell from the pics but she came with a HUGE cage, 6 different perches, and a bunch of toys. This parakeet has been spoiled rotten, and I plan to continue to do so .

She sure is cute And she looks nice and healthy, too. She looks just like one I saw at a pet shop last week, and I was looking at this website that has alot of info on color mutations: Budgie / Parakeet Colors Mutations and Varieties
Maybe a yellow-base dilution? Yellow-base greywing? I couldn't really figure it out!
