Those are a lot of really good ones! I thought some of the ones that were proposed a couple of months ago were pretty good, too, like two of no kind. Better yet you could make it "twins" so it could be two of June same species, two birds doing or wearing the same thing, etc.

I like the idea of birds with other pets, but I feel like in many cases that is just not a safe picture to try for. I have pics of birds with my dog, but I would hate for someone to try for this pic and end up with heartbreak.

What about simply the colors orange and black? It is October. Or something non colander related, has their been a water theme recently? I have only just started following potm.

Not birds with other pets. Just other pets. You can do birds with other pets safely, too. If both are harnessed or leashes, or one is behind a fence/cage/window

Ok thanks for the clarification. I know it CAN be done safely, I am just unsure of the wisdom of encouraging people to try it. That said, it would be really cool to have a month where it was other pets instead of parrots.

What about artist birds?
Like, trying to photograph your bird in a still life like set up, or a photo that the parront feels shows a artistic side of themselves through a image of their for. Would be cool, and get the creative gears going.

Or maybe a throwback thursday kind of thing where its a collage of your bird when you first got him/her and currently.
