Might be getting a new bird...

So we saw an add on craigslist about a Senegal parrot and we will be looking at him today! Wish us luck! He is 15 years old, comes with cage for $200! So I hope he will be good for us, details later

Oh and this isn't a add we saw today and just jumped on it, we have been thinking about it for a while, it was posted last Monday. We have been talking to the guy and getting info for a while, he seems like a good bird!

Be careful with the Senegal around Lilo. They generally don't seem to like other birds and have quite an attitude. Mine will sometimes try to attack the blue crowns. Both of them have learned to be very cautious about him and will get the heck out of Dodge if he is even close. He will also fly straight at them occasionally. For all their size, they have very powerful beaks and could possibly do real injury to Lilo.

But other than their antisocial behavior with other critters, they can be great little birds. LOTS of attitude and more to spare. My Sidney is certainly the most challenging bird that I've ever had. He is almost constantly wanting to explore and get into something he shouldn't be in.

Thank you! He is settling down well! Sweet little boy! And I bet if he went for Lilo, Lilo would NOT back down and probably would start the fight! So ya, I will keep them apart! O.O But thank you for replying!

I love my little senegal. She is a stinker with other animals but loves people (except the evil man who calls himself my husband). She has been a great parrot and let's any woman hold her, men I am always a bit more cautious with. Enjoy!
