Milo came home today Look how sweet he is! He refuses to go in his cage. I had him in there a couple times but he kept flying to my hand. So, I decided he could nap with me and then we would try again later.

He went to his bedroom to eat, then made crow noises at me and ran all around like mad until I picked him up and now he’s asleep on my shoulder again hahaha.

It’s been so long since I brought a birdie home, and never one that I had to put in a new cage (my super friendly lovey had his own cage he came with,) any tips on helping him settle into it?

How is he settling in xx

Stunningly! He slept all night from 9-7. I tried to get a good 12 hr sleep in for him but the window was too bright. I’ll try shifting his cover tonight to help keep him in the dark a little longer.

This morning he woke up and we snuggled then he destroyed a bamboo finger trap. Then, he went back to his bed for a snack. He’s mildly clipped, he flew no problem from his cage to the back of my shoulder, about 5 feet.

Right now he’s happily munching on toys in his cage, he just finished lunch and a wee nap

I've had to get black out curtains for albie's room or else he's up a sunrise hahah, I'm glad he's settling in well!

Milo had his first bath, then ate some millet, and is now snuggling. He’s very well adjusted, but I’m remaining mindful of the fact that we’re still in the honeymoon period [emoji6]

I’m obsessed! He already learned “step up” “shoulder” “come here please” “treat” and “spin” and today he was going comfortably into and out of the neck hole of his harness for treats [emoji7]
